This Privacy Policy describes what data Pawdy Panda collects (spoiler: almost nothing) and how it's handled.

What Pawdy Panda DOES NOT access

• ❌ Your screen contents or screenshots
• ❌ Your clipboard
• ❌ Your files or documents
• ❌ Your browser history, cookies, or browsing data
• ❌ Your contacts, calendar, or email
• ❌ Your location
• ❌ Any analytics or telemetry service

What Pawdy Panda DOES read (and why)

1. Keyboard activity (only "a key was pressed")

The panda uses a Windows API to know when a key is pressed on your keyboard, so it can play the "typing" animation alongside you. We never read which key was pressed, never log keystrokes, never see what you type.

2. Foreground window title (for AI agent celebration — opt-out available)

If enabled in Settings (default ON, easily disabled), Pawdy Panda reads the title bar of your foreground window every 1.2 seconds. It looks for the words "Thinking", "Generating", "Processing", etc. so it knows when an AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) starts and finishes a task.

The title is matched against a fixed keyword list locally and immediately discarded. We do not log, store, or transmit window titles.

3. Internet connection (for license activation only)

When you first install Pawdy Panda and enter your license key, the app makes one HTTPS request to api.lemonsqueezy.com to verify your license is valid. After that, no further internet requests are made by the app.

What stays on your computer

• Your settings (name, color preference, etc.) — saved in %APPDATA%\Pawdy Panda\settings.json
• Your license key + activation info — saved in %APPDATA%\Pawdy Panda\license.json
• Crash logs (if any) — saved in %APPDATA%\Pawdy Panda\crash.log

None of this is ever transmitted anywhere.

Third-party services

Lemon Squeezy (payment processor)

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the Merchant of Record. When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy collects payment information (name, email, payment method) per their own privacy policy.

Pawdy Panda only sees: your license key + activation status. We never see your name, email, address, or payment info.

Children's privacy

Pawdy Panda is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy in any meaningful way, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and announce it on pawdypanda.com.
